Last week, we walked through how carbon fiber arrows are made — from carbon fiber selection to straightness testing. The takeaway was simple: real quality starts at the source, which means strict control over GPI stability, straightness and material selection.

For B2B buyers, though, understanding the process is only half the story. The other half is making sure the finished arrow matches your brand's customization requirements — precisely, and batch after batch. This page is written for arrow brand owners who need a manufacturing partner, not just a supplier.

The ZHAN-E Solution

A Manufacturing Program Built Around Your Spec

Five commitments that turn a parameter sheet into a product line — and keep it stable as you grow.

01

Full-Process Manufacturing, In-House

We control the whole chain rather than assembling someone else's parts — which is what makes a tolerance negotiable in the first place.

Carbon cloth inspectionIncoming material verified before it reaches the mandrel
Roll formingFiber grade, angle and layer count set to target spine
CuringControlled cycles lock in stiffness and stability
PolishingSurface prepared for coating, printing and assembly
Straightness verificationLaser inspection plus grinding verification
Weight sortingGPI and total weight grouped so every dozen matches
Printing & assemblyLogo, points, nocks, fletching built to the build sheet
PackingRetail packing completed under the same roof
02

Brand Integration, Built Into Production

Your identity is applied during manufacturing, not added afterwards: logo printing on shafts, exclusive color schemes, custom boxes and hang tags — all handled by our own factory and our independent design department.

  • ✓Shaft markings and components customized during the production process
  • ✓Exclusive color schemes and coating finishes
  • ✓Custom boxes, hang tags and retail packaging, designed in-house
03

Quality Control You Can Quote to Your Customers

We concentrate on the four variables that decide whether a reorder happens — and we hold them stage by stage, from carbon cloth inspection through to final testing.

  • ✓GPI consistency held through material selection and controlled layering
  • ✓Straightness verified to the grade you selected
  • ✓Weight grouping so matched sets stay matched
  • ✓Surface appearance inspected so the shelf presentation stays consistent
04

Capacity Discipline & a Team That Answers

All of the above means nothing if a factory cannot hold quality through large-scale delivery. We maintain stable production capacity and keep a dedicated sales and after-sales team alongside you from parameter request and sampling through mass production and delivery.

One point of contact. The same team that quotes your program follows it into production — no handover, no re-explaining your spec.
05

Bare Shafts, Semi-Finished, or Finished Arrows

Choose the level that fits your operation. The shaft parameters stay identical — only how far we build it changes.

Delivery Format What You Receive Best For
Raw shafts Uncut, unfletched carbon shafts produced to your spine, GPI and straightness spec Brands with in-house cutting and fletching, or bulk shaft programs
Semi-finished Cut to length with inserts installed, ready for fletching Shops and distributors who fletch to local order
Finished arrows Nocks, points, fletching, logo and retail packing complete Brands selling straight to shelf, catalogue or online
One Source, Start to Finish

Every Component Specified Together

Shaft, spine, GPI, straightness, logo, cresting, points, nocks, fletching and packaging — specified on one build sheet, produced on one line, delivered as a branded finished arrow rather than a box of loose components.

Section I

I. Arrow Shaft Performance Customization

Starting from raw material selection, ZHAN-E manufactures carbon arrow shafts to your specification through every forming process.

Market Context

Why Carbon Leads the Mainstream Markets

Global arrow shaft materials include wood, bamboo, hybrid carbon fiber, aluminum alloy and pure carbon fiber. In North America, Europe and parts of Southeast Asia — our core export regions — carbon fiber arrows have clearly taken the lead.

Wood & BambooTraditional and warm in the hand, but natural variation makes batch consistency hard to guarantee at scale.
Hybrid CarbonA practical balance of durability and price for value-driven product lines.
Aluminum AlloyVery consistent in spine, but heavier and permanently deformable once bent.
Pure Carbon Fiber Market LeaderLight, stiff, fast and straight — the default choice for brands that need repeatable performance in every dozen.
Precision machining of arrow components on the ZHAN-E production floor

Precision equipment is what turns a set of parameters into a repeatable product.

Buyers in these markets are no longer satisfied with off-the-shelf products. They ask for precise specifications in Spine, straightness and materials — because together these determine the consistency of the arrow, known in the industry as the three variables of consistency: Spine / Straightness / GPI. Read the industry reference →
⚖️

GPI — Grains Per Inch

We control weight distribution along the full length of the shaft and keep batch tolerances within a very narrow range.

  • ✓Carbon fiber material selection matched to target weight
  • ✓Controlled layering during roll forming
  • ✓Weighing and assembly verification before packing
📐

Spine — Deflection / Flexibility

We deliver the deflection your build requires, tuned for your cut length and finished arrow length.

  • ✓Carbon fiber grade adjustment
  • ✓Fiber angle control
  • ✓Layer count tuned to target spine
🎯

Straightness

High-precision molds plus meticulous calibration — laser inspection combined with grinding verification — in three selectable grades.

  • ✓±0.006″ — value and entry lines
  • ✓±0.003″ — mainstream performance lines
  • ✓±0.001″ — match and flagship lines
Parameter What It Controls How ZHAN-E Holds It
Spine How the shaft flexes on release — arrow flight, clearance and tune Carbon fiber grade, fiber angle and number of layers
GPI Weight distribution along the shaft — trajectory, speed and FOC Material selection and controlled layering, verified by weighing
Straightness Accuracy potential and group size at distance High-precision molds, laser inspection plus grinding verification
Length Fit to the archer, spine behaviour and safety margin Cut to your length with a square cut that preserves shaft integrity
Diameter Component fit, penetration and target pull Mold control and polishing, matched to your components
Surface finish Printing adhesion, coating durability and shelf appearance Coating process selected alongside the printing method
Grade Straightness Tolerance Typical Positioning Why Brands Choose It
Select ±0.006″ Entry-level, practice, recreational and rental fleets Keeps landed cost competitive while staying reliable shot after shot
Precision ±0.003″ Mainstream hunting, 3D and club target lines The commercial sweet spot for most branded arrow programs
Match ±0.001″ Competition, premium flagship and private-label builds Supports a top-tier price point and a genuine performance claim

Even subtle variations in shaft specification affect performance. ZHAN-E brings extensive hands-on experience and professional equipment to give your arrows the most solid foundation possible — and you choose the grade that matches your market position and price point.

Section II

II. Differentiated Arrow & Accessory Design

To help customers differentiate and gain a competitive edge, ZHAN-E runs an independent design and development department — then builds on our custom shafts using the printing strength of our own factory.

Arrow Shaft Printing & Coating

Because the factory is ours, we can customize shaft markings and components during the production process itself — not as an afterthought. Choose from a range of high-precision logo processes:

✓ Laser Engraving ✓ Screen Printing ✓ Water Transfer Printing ✓ UV Printing ✓ Pad Printing

Each process carries a different look, durability and cost profile — we help you match the method to your brand position and target price.

Custom arrow logo and cresting options produced by the ZHAN-E factory
Process How It Looks Where It's Used Notes
Laser Engraving Marked into the surface, no added layer Understated premium branding, serial or spec marking Will not peel or rub off in use
Screen Printing Solid, opaque, high-contrast colour Bold logos and text on long production runs Cost-efficient once set up
Water Transfer Full-wrap patterns, camo and gradients All-over graphics across the whole shaft Best choice for camo and complex artwork
UV Printing Full-colour detail, photographic quality Multi-colour artwork and shorter runs Flexible when artwork changes often
Pad Printing Fine detail on curved or small parts Nocks, inserts and small components Reaches places flat printing cannot
🔩

Arrowheads / Points

Standard practice pointsEveryday target and training use
Weighted insertsFor FOC adjustment and front-of-centre tuning
Hunting broadheadsSharp, adapted to various shafts and usage scenarios
💡

Arrow Nocks

Standard push-in nocksColour, size and design options
Rapid-fire style nocksFor fast repeat shooting and quick loading
Lighted nocksVisibility in low light and after the shot
🪶

Fletching & Gluing

Colours, sizes, blade types and printed patterns are all selectable — and integrated directly into the production plan rather than added afterwards.

  • ✓Vane or feather, to your spec
  • ✓Straight, offset or helical
  • ✓Printed patterns matched to your branding

Our design and development capability lets us move from a set of shaft parameters all the way to finished arrows that carry your brand — and stay consistent every time you reorder.

Section III

III. ZHAN-E Accessories: Making Your Arrows Last Longer

No matter how good the arrows are, the more frequently they are used, the more inevitably they and their accessories will wear. ZHAN-E offers a range of tools that extend service life.

ZHAN-E fletching jig for precise vane alignment

Fletching Jig

A range of multi-purpose fletching jigs help align vanes precisely, keeping repeat applications consistent and strong.

ZHAN-E arrow puller for removing arrows cleanly from targets

Arrow Puller

When fletching is broken and the arrow is difficult to remove, the puller takes it out cleanly and efficiently without damaging the shaft.

ZHAN-E arrow cutting saw producing clean square shaft cuts

Arrow Cutting Saw

When you want a custom shaft length, the arrow cutter creates a clean, vertical cut that preserves the structural integrity of the shaft.

Tool What It Solves Who Needs It Most
Fletching Jig Re-fletching that is straight, repeatable and strongly bonded Pro shops and brands with in-house fletching
Arrow Puller Stuck or broken arrows removed without shaft damage Clubs, ranges and high-volume rental fleets
Arrow Cutting Saw Custom shaft lengths cut clean and square, every time Shops building arrows to individual archer specs
These tools are compatible with our arrow shafts and accessories, making routine maintenance easy for shops and archers. Selling tools bundled with arrow orders builds customer loyalty — and reduces returns caused by improper repairs.

FAQ

Questions Brand Owners Ask First

Which straightness grade should I choose for my market?
It depends on where you want to sit on the shelf. ±0.006″ suits entry-level, practice and rental fleets where price leads. ±0.003″ is the mainstream choice for hunting and club lines. ±0.001″ supports competition and premium flagship positioning, where the tolerance itself becomes part of the marketing claim.
Can I specify spine, GPI and straightness at the same time?
Yes — and that is exactly how our custom programs start. Spine is reached through carbon fiber grade, fiber angle and layer count. GPI is held through material selection and controlled layering, verified by weighing and assembly checks. Straightness is verified by laser inspection and grinding against the grade you choose.
Do you supply bare shafts, semi-finished arrows, or finished arrows?
All three. Raw shafts arrive uncut and unfletched to your spec; semi-finished arrive cut to length with inserts installed; finished arrows arrive complete with nocks, points, fletching, logo and retail packing. The shaft parameters stay identical — only how far we build it changes.
Can you print our logo, and which process should we use?
Yes. Because the factory is ours, shaft markings and components are customized during production rather than added afterwards. Choose from laser engraving, screen printing, water transfer printing, UV printing and pad printing. We help you match the method to your artwork, durability requirement and target price.
Can you match an arrow we already sell?
Send us a sample. We build the parameter sheet from it — spine, GPI, straightness, length, diameter and components — confirm it with you in writing, and then produce to that sheet. That sheet stays with your program so reorders land in the same place.
Can you help design packaging and artwork?
Yes. We have an independent design department dedicated to OEM and ODM work, covering shaft markings, exclusive colour schemes, custom boxes and hang tags. Packaging design sits inside the production plan, not after it.
Do you protect our specification and artwork?
Custom specifications, artwork and program details are treated as confidential, and we are open to signing a mutual NDA before samples or drawings are exchanged. Technical confidentiality agreement support is part of how we work with brand owners.
Can you help us develop a new product category?
Yes. New product development is one of the main reasons brands come to us. Our independent design and development capability, combined with full-process manufacturing in-house, means new tiers and new categories can be taken from concept to production without you expanding your own facility.
Do you supply the tools needed to service these arrows?
We do. Fletching jigs, arrow pullers and arrow cutting saws are all part of the range, and they are designed to work with our shafts and components. Bundling tools with arrow orders helps shops serve their customers and reduces returns caused by improper repairs.
Is regional exclusivity available?
Within the partnership program, we can provide exclusive promotional rights or priority agency rights to authorized dealerships in specific regions, to avoid internal competition. Regional protection is agreed as part of the partnership, not assumed.
Which markets do you export to?
The United States, Europe and Southeast Asia are our main export regions, and we are actively expanding beyond them. We sell to foreign retailers and wholesalers and build programs around the standards those markets expect.
What happens between my first enquiry and mass production?
We start from your parameter request, move to sampling and written approval, then into packaging design, mass production and delivery — with a dedicated sales and after-sales team alongside you throughout. Quality control runs at every stage, from carbon cloth inspection through to weight sorting and final testing.
